My story began in August of 2023 , and this isn’t just an ordinary description of my website or company. This site is my small corner where I can now share with thousands, and maybe one day millions, of people the story of one teenager from Ukraine who came to United States and decided to launch a business.

Let me start with a bit of autobiography. My name is David, I came to the USA with my family in April 8th of 2022,I couldn’t speak English back then i was really excited to go to school so I can meet new friends who can help me learn English. I always was dreaming to be a business owner one day. I got my first job in 2023 at Taco Bell, that job helped me practice English every day. After the summer came around I decided that I can go D2D and offer people car washing services, after couple moths doing car washing I didn’t really loved it and thought I can make more money doing something else. So i bought equipment for window cleaning, so i started going d2d as well and i was getting way more clients doing that then car washing.

Then October came, and with it, two failed purchases. The first was a $300 water filter, which I hoped to use for window cleaning, but it didn’t work for me. I knew nothing about filters at the time. After that, I ordered a professional filter for $3,000—that was my last money—but it still didn’t work. The company refused a return, leaving me with empty pockets. For a week, I was upset, going door-to-door (D2D), feeling lost. By then, the days were getting shorter, and after school, I had only about an hour to work. It was my first winter in business, and it became clear that cleaning second-story windows while standing in the cold outside was impossible. I made one last attempt—ordering another filter for $1,500 and buying hoodies for warmth. My bikes were constantly breaking down, and I was literally braking with my feet because the brakes kept failing.

In September I quit Taco Bell to focus more on the business. In December, i decided to shoot a YouTube video with my goals for 2024. However, December became my most successful month—I’ve earned over $5,000, a big achievement. The beginning of 2024 was tough, with my income not exceeding $2,000 a month for the first three months. I knew I had to keep moving forward and realized I couldn’t grow the business without a car.

On April 3, 2024, I bought a car, and by summer, our income started to rise. In July 2024, I expanded my services from windows to 15 other offerings. During one of my D2D rounds, I met a marketer named Philip Hovel, but unfortunately, trusting him costed me $1,500. In Ukraine, people say in such situations, “Just forget it and move on,” which I did. In August 2024, after I turned 18, my uncle registered my business for free.

In autumn, things began to go well, and I started growing confidently. A big role in this success was played by my new marketer, Pasha, who fulfilled all my expectations and helped me reach new heights. This is the conclusion of this brief retelling of our story. Over the past year, I’ve gone through a lot of pain and embarrassment, but it was my only chance, and I didn’t waste it.
